FAQ
What clothes look best for a photo session? Wear clothes that you and your family feel comfortable in. The more comfortable you are, the better you'll look in the photos. The same goes for your children - please put them in clothes that allow them to play and be themselves. Stay away from large prints or logos that detract from faces. In smaller groups, individuals can usually wear what they want. I believe clothes are part of your personality. For larger groups, mix pants, shorts or skirts (jeans or khakis) with solid colorful shirts. What's the best location for a portrait? The best location is one that fits your personality. Kids are most natural when they actually have something to do. The beach, a park or even a backyard playing with the dogs make fun locations. What's the best time of year for portraits? The best time of year tends to be whatever time fits your personality. Summer seems to provide an atmosphere of fun and relaxation. Trees & grass are lush green in the Fall and Spring. And even Winter can provide scenes which compliment layering fun clothing and creating interesting portraits.
I have an idea of what I'd like my portrait to look like. Can you incorporate a client's own ideas into the photo shoot? I have lots of ideas for any photo session I do, but I also like to hear your ideas. So don't be shy... if you have an idea for a photo then please tell me & we will work your ideas in to the session. Do I purchase prints and products individually or do you have packages? All prints and products can be purchased individually. I believe that just as each client is different, so are their needs. All clients receive a website for online viewing. How can my friends and relatives order photos? The online viewing website is set up so that it's very easy to send to friends and relatives. From this site they can order prints and other products. For prints larger than 11x14, I always recommend placing an order through Lynn Cobb Studios.
